Tao Thong Villa Koh Tao... The only setup on Cape Jeda Gang, Tao Thong offers a variety of bungalows in an isolated and tranquil setting. A stony descent from the road leads past Tao Thong's handsome stilted bungalows to a private little cove with excellent swimming and snorkelling. The bungalows vary greatly in price but are all good-sized and well-kept. In addition to a wonderful cliffside restaurant, Tao Thong also provides a book exchange and a shop with hammocks, snacks and other essentials -- a nice touch in this rustic locale -- as well as scheduled taxi service to Mae Haad (9:00 and 13:00 daily for 50B/person). Further down the cape, Tao Thong has started a second operation with cheaper bungalows and an equally-friendly staff. Tao Thong 2 has very inexpensive little huts and much better deluxe options. The small terrace restaurant perched above the water is a serene place to get out of the sun and relax. Here guests will find yet another private cove, mostly rocks but with some nice sand too. Snorkels can be rented at the restaurant/reception terrace.
