Overlooking Sairee beach and the clear waters of the gulf, peaceful Sun Lord provides a good, inexpensive place to get away and relax. It's ideal for backpackers and thrifty travellers who want to escape the crowds at Sairee but have its dining options and activities within reach. Accommodations is very simple but comes with spectacular views. The huts are spaced for privacy along the rocky hillside and are fairly weathered and worn inside and out -- cheap, but you get what you pay for -- and they are available with or without private showers. A stony path leads to rocky water access where the snorkelling can be very good. The family running Sun Lord is friendly, and their terrace restaurant served good authentic Thai food with more incredible views and often plays traditional Thai music. Sun Lord is a decent budget choice for seclusion and relaxation.
