PHANUN VIEW BUNGALOWS

Phanun View Bungalows takes you back in time to how Koh Tao used to be. Rickety basic and cheap bungalows stretched out over a lush hillside. Bungalows are set apart and have excellent views, all have mosquito nets and a fan but otherwise are quite simple. The area is quiet and the resort is a great cheap escape from it all. It's ideal for settling down with a few good books and getting busy doing nothing. A jungle path leads you down to the waters edge and whilst there is not much in terms of beach the shallow bay is great for snorkelling. There's a small restaurant and bar which stretches out on white decking and an acrobatic monkey to boot. The restaurant serves cheap basic western and Thai food. The road down to the resort is at best a track and only experienced riders on a good dirt bike should attempt it. If you want to go call and they will collect you and be happy with the remote tranquillity there.
