The Montalay Beach Resort will be opening soon on August 1st 2011

Montalay Beach Resort is located in the eastern part of the island. It might be a little hard to get here, but it is a beautiful secluded bay and is a great place for snorkeling and diving. The beach is one of the best seashores on the island, with beautiful views and tourist attractions close to the resort.

Tanote Bay is a pristine white sand beach, nestled between the rugged headlands of the east coast of Koh Tao. Spectacular views of nearby Shark Island and Koh Phangan greet the visitor on the journey across to Tanote Bay, where vibrant coral reefs dot the clear blue shores of the Montalay Beach Resort.

Guests can choose to relax on Koh Tao's finest beach or by the seaside fresh water pool. They can take a swim and immerse themselves in the serenity and seclusion of Tanote Bay. Alternatively for your more active clients, The Montalay Beach Resort's Water-sports Centre also provides guests with snorkelling, scuba diving or kayaking at nearby sites.

The Montalay Beach Resort offers fine dining, a beach bar, a spa and massage facilities ensuring your clients stay is both enjoyable and relaxing.

Transfer to and from Koh Tao pier is provided for guests of the Montalay Beach Resort.

ACCOMMODATION

The Montalay Beach Resort caters to a range of clients, from single travelers’ to families, with a choice of accommodations to suit all budgets and holiday needs. All accommodation rates include a choice of fine breakfasts prepared individually by our chefs. Half-board and full-board rates are available.

JUNGLE COTTAGES

Cottages are available in double, twin, triple and family units. The free standing cottages are nestled amongst trees on the banks of a flowing waterfall. They combine traditional and modern materials to create a unique accommodation experience. Montalay Cottages offers convenience and comfortable styles, all close to downtown and only 5 km (3miles) away from Mae Haad Pier. You can get back to nature in the peace and serenity of your own private cottage, set amid beautifully tropical gardens where you'll feel like you’re in your second home! Life takes on a slower pace here with the promise of an untold adventure. The cottages look like villager built his house with woods. It's so simple but romantic. With rugged weather-worn timber beams, the cottages embody every romantic vision. All details large and small have been attended to, from the beach, to spas and massage. The cottages are all tucked into their own private patch of jungle, combined with breathtaking natural beauty and located along the hillside; each cottage lies with a breathtaking view over looking Tanote Bay. Our cottages have all the comforts and conveniences of home. Each room includes air conditioning, in room safe, television, hot and cold shower.

A new deluxe hotel, both chic and stylish, with a unique design signature, offers more than just a place to sleep. Designed for the ultimate in luxury and comfort, all the 28 rooms at the resort feature contemporary decor and tasteful furnishings. With well designed space, our guest rooms size ranges from 32 sqm to 64 sqm and take advantage of the beautiful jungle and sea views (Deluxe only). MONTALAY WATER SPORTS CENTRE

Our Water-sports Centre focuses on providing a high level of individual customer service.
We can cater for all our guests needs, from shore dives for beginners to challenging dives for experienced divers on the offshore pinnacles.
Lessons can be arranged in small groups or private lessons in your own language.
Families can discover the fascinating coral reefs together, with scuba programs for kids from as young as 8 years old.

The Montalay Water-sports Centre offers our guests the chance to experience the vibrant coral reefs of Koh Tao. The following are available:

• Quality scuba diving services are available for our guests, from their first breaths underwater through to comprehensive internships for budding dive professionals.

The Montalay Beach Resort strives to be environmentally friendly. Solar electricity helps to power our rooms. Our staff members are actively involved in socially and environmentally responsible programmes. We maintain a 158 reef ball artificial house reef, promote clam bed restoration and are actively involved in local youth environmental, diving and water awareness programmes. We encourage our guests to get involved in helping with these environmental projects.
