Diamond Bungalows is one of the classier establishments on Tanote Bay. Here you'll find charming little huts right on the beach for a good price and some newer, much larger bungalows up the hill a bit. All options are spacious and clean, but some of the smaller rooms are a little worn inside -- and out -- but this is the closest to the beach you can stay on Tanote. Discounted taxis (100B/person) run to Mae Haad and Sairee at 08:30, 11:30, 13:00 and 16:00 for those who want to do some shopping or just see more of the island. Diamond's large open-air restaurant features the usual Thai and western options but costs a little more than other places on the beach. Staff are not the most attentive.
