the last Party ever at MOOV. We are forced to stop with MOOV,
for reasons that are beyond our control. For two years we brought

What started as a place where we (Lud, Dom, Jazz, Patrick, Malu
and Bjorn) loved to hang out with friends finally ended by you
people of Koh Tao as the place to party!! Thank you all for supporting
us. Thank you for all the nice moments we had!! Thank you all
for understanding our way of having a party on this small rock!
Thank you Dj's for bringing us the tunes and rocking the place!
WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!
So
take you're last change to dance at MOOV this night. and be a
part of the last MOOV party who no one will ever forget! See you
the 14th! We are now working hard to make a restart on the island
with MOOV or with a total new concept. The spirit is till there!!!!
YOU WILL HEAR FROM US SOON!!!
About MOOV
At
MOOV you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere amidst an enchanted setting…
From
chill out couches with a twist to the magical tree-deck and Moroccan-inspired
touches throughout, MOOV promotes a carefree and whimsical vibe
all to the soundtrack of our resident DJ Absolud, whose funky
house sounds have made a name for themselves here on our Tao.
Check
for daytime events and monthly parties to add even more flavor
to our colorful mix.
Open
6 days a week (Tuesday through Sunday) from mid afternoon
till a little after midnight. Located on south Sairee Beach, opposite
InTouch Resort.
DJ
Absolud
DJ, producer, owner, operator, event organizer, promoter… Lud
Verhoog does it all, but he wouldn’t be the one to tell you. His
lifelong obsession with music has dictated the course of his every
move, guiding him from one project to the next so that now, at
33, he has built up an impressive array of experience in almost
all aspects of the industry.

Lud
Verhoog, (DJ Absolud) born and raised in Amsterdam, began mixing
and organizing parties at the tender age of 14. But it wasn’t
until ‘92 that he discovered house music and knew that he had
found a soul mate. Now mixing for over 17 years, his style has
evolved into a sound that is warm, soulful, funky and uplifting.
He can slow it down for sunset chill sessions taking you on a
whimsical journey or make the crowd go mental with more rocking
sets. His finesse in timing and understanding of what it takes
to build up and work people into a frenzy behind the decks is
due to his understanding and appreciation of what it’s like in
front of them.
Over
the past decade Lud has worked and spun with some of the most
respected DJ’s in the industry, including Norman J, Rasmus Faber,
Gregor Salto, Joey Negro, Hardsoul, Jerome Syndemham, Heikki L,
Valentin de Moreda and many more. Recently he has also taken time
from his busy schedule to guest dj at hotspots BED Supperclub,
BKK and DUST, Koh Samui, rocking the crowds with his funky uplifting
sound. He also produced the film soundtrack to “The Plymouth To
Banjul Rally” a rally documentary film by Acemarine Images this
year.
On
the production side, back when he was honing his DJ skills Lud
was also developing a flair for organizing and directing the production
of events. He and his brother started 303 Productions, a company
that created the visual effects for enormous events such as Wasteland,
Club Wearhouse, and Dancevalley. In ’95, 303 Productions expanded
to create Lumafex, which organized and produced innumerable underground
parties at ‘various’ locations throughout and around the Netherlands
and Europe. Guaranteed great music, vibes, and people made these
productions a huge success.
In
between throwing crazy parties, Lud was busy with residencies
and guest spots at several clubs and venues around the Netherlands
(Shape, Mazzo, Paradiso, Melkwe, Beachpop) Absolud made a name
for himself with a funky grooving sound that he has become known
for in and around the Dutch party scene.
Wanting
to see the world, Lud started traveling, spinning at numerous
locations in EU and Asia. One of which set him down in 2002 on
Koh Tao, Thailand where he was immediately offered residency at
the feel-good spot Drybar. Two years later he and the owner then
set out to create a new concept which in turn became the Pure
Lounge where he was partner and resident. Pure, a seductively
furnished beach bar where the monthly parties were so rocking
that travelers extended their trips by weeks as to not miss the
next one. Sadly it became too successful for the small island
and was burned down in August 06, but the countless parties and
memories will not soon be forgotten by any lucky enough to join
in.
Not
to be daunted and armed with renewed energy and inspiration, Absolud
took all of his DJ skills, party know-how and experience to create
Project 32, a creative sound events production company. Combining
a nearly two decade-long love affair with music and production
to culminate in an endeavor that brings a fresh sound, look, and
feel to the funkiest and most inspired venues- Project 32 promises
to be a journey that brings people together to share in a truly
special and unforgettable experience. The team is currently busy
finalizing a spring tour itinerary.

Rasmus
Faber

Producer,
musician, composer, remixer & DJ – Rasmus Faber has many strings
to his bow. In his early years he mastered the skills of the jazz
piano, and worked as a musician for many years, before falling
in love with house music and production in the year 2001.
His
debut release was courtesy of UK label Black Vinyl back in 2002,
the inspirational 'Never Felt So Fly' captured many peoples hearts,
bringing together the warming soulful tones of fellow Swede Melo,
with the sweet musicianship & guile that Rasmus is so well
known for to incorporate into his sound.
After
two original releases on US label Sub-Urban and remixes for, among
others, E-Smoove and Kenny Bobien, people were starting to show
this young swede some serious attention. He was hunted down by
Defected Records chief Simon Dunmore to remix a forthcoming Dubtribe
Sound System release. Simon was so pleased with the work Rasmus
delivered he quickly snapped up this unquestionable talent offering
a management & label deal - Farplane Records was born. Soon
after he got to rework Junior Jack's monster hit 'E-Samba'. Recording
new vocals & completely reinventing the original, Rasmus?
remix went on to be played throughout the summer by the likes
of Morillo, Tappert, Sanchez & Morales.
Released
in 2003, 'Ever After' was Farplane Records' debut release, and
went on to become a major hit and a timeless classic. This took
Rasmus Faber's career to a new level, and after a faultless line
of equally successful releases (such as 'Divided/United' and the
Axwell remixed 'Get Over Here'), his name was fully established
as a major player, his production trademark being combining dancefloor
friendliness with flawless musical quality.
Recent
years Rasmus have been as busy as ever, flying around the world
performing doing live shows, and DJ-ing in his own unique style,
playing the piano over his DJ sets. He has had global sucess with
his music, in Japan even crossing over heavily into the commercial
public, with chart topping albums and singles releases. New musical
adventures are in sight, both exploring the musical fields completely
outside of the dance scene, as well as going deeper into the more
big room sounds of house, releasing harder and more electronic
tracks and remixes under the RaFa moniker.
Rasmus
remains highly active in the studio, being asked to work with
labels including Defected, King St, Salted, Code Red, Seasons,
Shifted Music, Soulfuric, Knee Deep, Soundmen on Wax & Nero
Records, while Farplane Records continue to grow as an outlet
for quality house music. His endless talents & ambitious attitude
have taken him across the globe. Completing remixes for such artists
as Miguel Migs, Jay-J, Axwell, Sandy Rivera, Oreja, and Reel People
only cement the fact that this talented Swede, still only in his
late 20's, is in high demand, and at the peak of his game!
Emanuel
Skinner

Stemming
from over 15 years of collecting a vast amount of vinyl and an
innate obsession with all forms of music, Emanuel became deeply
inspired by the thriving underground scene of San Francisco and
Chicago and at just 17, took to the decks to cultivate the uniquely
diverse sound he is known for today. While he started out playing
at underground parties throughout Northern California, it was
not long before he caught the eyes and ears of clubs and promoters
alike and was soon booked at many of the top clubs throughout
San Francisco, including 1015, The End up, Liquid, Sunset parties,
Groove Lounge with long time friend Miguel Migs plus...
After
travelling to Thailand in 2000, he made the choice to move to
the vibrating city of Bangkok and has now become a key figure
in the development of the Bangkok club scene and helped make it
the global phenomenon it is quickly becoming. Voted best Bangkok
Deejay 2002, Emanuel’s name has become synonymous with Bangkok’s
club scene, both inside and outside of Thailand. He has been to
places as diverse as Singapore, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Korea,
Malaysia and all over Thailand.
His
weekly Wednesday Model's night at Bed Supperclub in Bangkok has
become one of the most talked about nights throughout Asia and
he is regularly called upon to play among the top DJs in the world
there ie. DJ Roog, Kid Massive, Robert Owens, Rasmus Faber, Felix
the Housecat, Dennis Ferrer, Martin Solvieg, DJ Gregory, Johnny
Fiasco, Copyright, Knee Deep, Ian Carey, Oliver Lang, Born 2 Funk,
Raul Rincon etc…
With
a musical style that encompasses funky house, electro, tribal,
tech and acid house, Emanuel’s love of music is vast and diverse.
He has a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of deejaying,
as well as his flawless programming of his sets, make him stand
out from the rest. "For me... sharing the music i love and
sending the crowds into frenzy is the ultimate high!" responds
Emanuel "It was also the unification of all people regardless
of race, sexual preference & religious background's which
attracted me to House music back in 1991."
As
well as DJing, Emanuel has been busy in the studio and has just
put the finishing touches on his debut house production’s.
At
37 years old proves he has the experience, Emanuel is truly a
rising star in Asia dance scene and is a name to watch out for
in 2008!

Heikki
L.
When Heikki was ten years old and he got his first stereo system
set up in his room, he stole all of his parents' cassette tapes
and listened to them until they were worn out. He then moved onto
hunting down music from his friends and neighbours.
At
the age of thirteen Heikki met a local DJ who handed him a tape
that was filled with techno and house music. Inspired by this
Heikki bought his first record player and mixer, spending all
his pocket money on 12” singles. For two years Heikki would DJ
at school and school dances and just before going to high school
Heikki was booked for his first gig playing at a nightclub.
Due
to starting at such a young age, Heikki has an amazing ability
to interpret the dance floor and this has ranked him as one the
busiest touring DJ's of Finland, always spinning the biggest venues
and parties.
During
his teens his passion for music grew into a realization that he
wanted to make his own music. All his summers spent mowing lawns
made him enough money to buy a computer and synthesisers. Ever
since then, his life has never been the same.
At
nineteen, Heikki left his hometown of Rauma and headed to the
capital of Finland, Helsinki. Upon his arrival his very first
music collaboration was signed to Sony Music Finland.
On
Heikki's second project, he joined forces with party promoter
Alex Kunnari. The first single ‘Darkstar' from 'Modulation' ended
up on Above and Beyond's ‘Hard On' label. The second release ‘Spirits'
ended up on Paul Van Dyk's ‘Vandit' and Ferry Corstens' ‘Purple
Eye' – label. 'Modulation' is still up and running with Big Star
Records.
Helsinki
was the place to meet amazing people with similar minds, one of
them being Jaakko Salovaara. Surprisingly, even though getting
licensed by a few foreign labels, their first project ‘Spectro'
ended up in the bin. Their second project ‘Hi-Tech', however,
was signed to Ministery Of Sound , giving birth to Dallas Superstars.
Dallas superstars marked an era that opened doors aboard and brought
Heikki's name to the attention of the wider audience.
After
the highly successful Dallas Superstars album ‘Flash' (2003),
Heikki continued to work on music by co-producing Darude's album
‘Rush' (2004). This has led to his current project of producing,
mixing and remixing the first single from Darude's upcoming third
album ‘Tell me'.
Dallas
Superstars' humorously named project ‘Supermodels From Paris'
release ‘Keep on' ended on several top DJ's playlists inc. Sander
Klainenberg's Sensation White.
The
highly anticipated follow up to the Dallas Superstars debut album
– ‘Higher State' – was released last year (2006). It included
a remake of the classic ‘Fine Day' which is still causing a buzz
around the world.
Now,
it is time for Heikki to step aside for a moment and create something
utterly his own, to put to the test all he has seen, learned,
and understood, compressing this knowledge down to ‘Heikki L'.
In his music, Heikki has an ultimate goal of moving people, giving
them shivers that will result in a mind-exploding orgasm, sharing
positive energy through out his music as well as through his DJ'ing.
In 2006, Heikki L. partnered up with fellow DJ/producer friends
Mr A. and Miika Kuisma to start their own label Danceteria Music.
In the beginning of 2007, Heikki L. was signed to the young and
innovative label ‘Fektive Records' in Holland. He has work cut
out for him in several remix projects, which will be out in future
releases on Positiva, Ministry Of Sound and Kontor Records. Heikki
L's first solo release ‘Let the Bass Kick' has already found it's
way to Judge Jules' play list – telling something big is on the
rise.

Jonnie
Polyester

Jonnie
began DJ-ing on and off whilst at college in Leeds when he co-promoted
Relish at the Music Factory, Leeds in the early 90’s. However,
his DJ career got going in earnest with his Disco Connection compilation
project, which he put together whilst working for Distance Records
between 1997-98. Jonnie’s aim was to capture the exciting vibe
of quality disco –house and recruited the Daddy of Disco-House
himself Dave Lee (A.K.A Joey Negro, Jakatta, Raven Maize, Doug
Willis etc) to mix the compilation. There then followed a UK and
European club Tour which included a successful launch party at
the Notting Hill Arts Club, London & Disco Connection nights
at Burning (Queen, Paris,) Miss Moneypenny’s,(B’ham) Burger Queen,(Edinburgh)
Debbie Does Dallas, (The Cross, London) as well as dates in Hamburg,
Barcelona and Marseilles. Tour guests included Bob Sinclar, Joey
Negro, Andrew ‘Doc’ Livingstone, Huggy & Craig Burgerqueen,
and Mr Pink.
After
leaving Distance, Jonnie joined Tribal Gathering in 1999 and with
owner David Vincent, re-opened the legendary Sankey Soap in Manchester
in September 2000. Jonnie became the funky room resident for Golden
during its time at Sankeys. Back in London, Jonnie was running
his own night Plato’s Retreat at various venues in West London
& then started Daiquiri Disco with Nick House, now one of
London’s biggest club promoters. Jonnie describes his style as
credible funky, soulful house with plenty of vocals. "I’m
very selective with my tune selection & tend to cherry pick
only the very best quality cuts regardless of producer, label,
remixer or whatever...this approach has never let me down yet
and the crowds really appreciate it!"
As
well as DJ’ing, Jonnie has been running his own label Blackbooty
Records, which kicked off with his debut production ‘If U Want
Me’ in March 2002. This track set the standard for things to come.
Danny Rampling played it on his Radio 1 ‘Lovegroove Dance Party’
show, as did the Sharp Boys (Kiss FM) and perhaps Jonnie’s greatest
fan Graeme Park (Galaxy FM) who to date, has played every single
one of Jonnie’s productions on his various radio shows. Dubbed
by I-Dj magazine’s Matt Anniss as House Music’s re –edit king,
Jonnie’s productions always capture the best of classic disco
cuts.
Through
out his production career Jonnie has worked with Kevin 'K-Boy'
Brooks, who had formerly engineered for Joey Negro as well as
co-producing with Mark Knight as K&M and one third of the
Kidstuff production team. Kevin's production and studio skills
have graced many a hit record from the Z Records stable. Most
recently Jonnie and Kevin co-produced Ten Percent, a faithful
reworking of the Double Exposure classic. This followed their
debut track ‘I’m Here Again’; a disco tour de force featuring
the vocals of the grand dame of disco herself Thelma Houston.
An absolutely guaranteed floor filler, it was tipped by I-DJ as
one of the hot tunes for Miami and was aired on The Dreem Teem’s
Soulful Sessions show on Radio 1 (Sat 5th March 05), as well numerous
plays Galaxy FM, Vibe FM, Nova FM (Ireland), Beat 106, Key 102
and radio shows throughout Europe.

Loco

Marco
is a Glasgow-born DJ / PRODUCER / PROMOTER who has been based
in Ibiza for the last four years. DJ: He has been djing for seven
years and has held residencies in the U.K, U.S.A, Tenerife, Ibiza
and Dubai. He is a versatile DJ that plays house and electro for
the clubs whilst playing chillout, chilled house and funk for
the beaches.
PROMOTER:
Marco has made a huge impact in Ibiza in just four years, gaining
residencies at all his favourite venues. He is constantly self-promoting
every residency he holds, which pleases his employers and co-promoters.
His highly successful Ibiza Groove returned to Hush for its second
year building on the strong reputation it had gained from the
previous season. Hush opened last year and Ibiza Groove was a
major factor on putting the new bar on the map. The concept for
the night is to perform house music live with singers, percussionists
and saxophonists. The atmosphere is always immense due to the
live elements and the phenomenal sound system that Hush provides.
This year, he also launched a new brand called ..Deeply Twisted..
which took place every Saturday at Es Paradis. Marco teamed up
with high-flying Gladrags resident Dj Da Sendri for the event.
Together, they will be promoting the brand across the U.K and
Europe until the brand returns to Ibiza next summer.
Marco
also became the new resident and co-promoter for the legendary
Shipwrecked boat parties. Shipwrecked had a fantastic following,
made up entirely from the all-important worker community of Ibiza.
Marco played every week with a variety of guest djs including:
Jason Bye, Filthy Gorgeous and many of the other prominent Djs
of San Antonio. Marco ensured the party was a complete sell out
every week, which gave him the necessary exposure and fan base
to win the ..BEST IBIZA DJ .. award 2006... As voted by the workers.
PRODUCTION: He has also been involved in production for the last
few years. He started playing the piano from age 4 and this has
helped him to develop both as a Dj and a producer. He recently
completed his first chillout track called ..The Music n.. You..,
which received great responses at Savannah and Cala Conta. After
completing the original, he was quick to finish the beach house
and club remixes which has enabled him to play all the mixes regularly
due to his variety of mixing styles. Last winter Marco was resident
at 360, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, in Dubai. He accepted the job offer
whilst djing in Ibiza during the summer. He also played guest
slots at a variety of Dubai's hotspots. He is currently back in
Ibiza for his 5th season
