At
Flying Trapeze Adventures we offer many different levels of courses.
Ages 6 and above, the sky's the limit! We also have experienced
"flyers" visiting us who will be able to wow the crowds
while keeping their experience levels up. Find out which applies
to you below!
Kids
Flying Lesson - Ages 6-12
This
is a great opportunity for children to experience flying through
the air whilst in a safe environment. The flying trapeze is a
circus art that children can participate in and even enjoy being
caught by FTA's very own Superhero!!
Frequent
Flyers
If you loved your first flying trapeze class and wish to learn
more, then check out some of FTA's Frequent Flyer Packages. From
learning to take off on your own to some more impressive aerial
tricks to a 'catcher', FTA's frequent flyer classes are designed
to suit everyones pace and strength.
Family
Classes
We encourage family participation, if as a parent you see your
child flying through the air and performing one of our tricks
and you feel you could do it. Why not arrange a lesson where the
whole family joins in.
Intermediate
Flying Class
If you are already a 'flyer' and just want to keep fit, brush
up on some skills and experience flying on a trapeze rig on a
tropical island. Stop by the rig, let us know what your level
is and we will take it from where you last left off . FTA have
smaller more personal trapeze classes and guarantee that you will
get the most out of your lesson.
Flying
Trapeze Classes
In your first FTA lesson you will learn how to execute a 'knee
hang catch'. After a demonstration on the ground with a practice
bar, you'll be secured into a safety belt, up the ladder you climb,
and harness lines attached! Once on the pedestal a FTA instructor
will prepare you to 'fly', off you step and away you go towards
mastering the 'knee hang'. Practice makes perfect so you will
try again, this time adding a back flip dismount down to the net.
After mastering the 'knee hang', a catcher will climb into the
'catchtrap', this time when you reach out, you'll be caught mid
air and swing on through with the second trapeze.
Advanced
Flyers
This class is for flyers who have shown the instructors that they
are experienced enough to fly without lines to the net. Even if
you are a skilled flyer from outside of FTA you will be asked
to initially fly with lines.

Koh
Tao is a small island 7km long and 3km wide. Located off the South-Eastern
coast of Thailand, Koh Tao is a quiet and peaceful island compaison
to its neighbours, Koh
Samui and the Full Moon island of Koh
Phangan.
From
scuba diving, rock climbing, water sports and now flying trapeze,
Koh Tao has a great deal to offer. With a wide range of accommodation,
restaurants and activities, there is definitely something for
everyone.
History
Since 1933-1947, the island was used as a prison until a royal
pardon was granted and its residents were relocated to Chumphon
and Suratthani. In that same year two farmers from neighboring
Koh Phangan made the dangerous journey by long tail boat to the
island. After claiming land for themselves on Sairee beach, they
were later joined by their families, therefore establishing the
first generation of today’s community on the island.
From
the early days of being a prison island, to one of Thailand’s
main diving hotspots, Turtle Island has not lost the charm and
attraction that originally fascinated its first visitors.
Getting
to Koh Tao.
The quickest and easiest way to get to this little island paradise
is by air and boat. Flights depart from Bangkok Airport and fly
directly to Koh Samui. There are two ferry companies that depart
twice a day from Koh Samui. For more information on ferry departure
and arrival times, click on the sites below. The
Lomprayah or Seatran
Discovery. Another cheaper option is to catch a bus from Bangkok
to the Surathani Province. This does add a day onto your travels.
Buses leave either early in the morning or late in the evening.
Bus/boat tickets are sold as a package from any travel agent or
guest house in Bangkok.
Koh
Tao boasts over 20 top class dive sites suitable for beginners
to advanced divers. With crystal clear water, easily accessible
dive sites and visibility sometimes over 30m Koh Tao is seen as
a diving mecca for divers visiting Thailand.
Koh Tao is definitely not only for divers. Catch a boat with MELT
Boat tours and explore the many hidden beaches and bays around
the island. Go cliff jumping, tubing and snorkel some of the islands
best discovered snorkeling sites.
