Sites
Sail
Rock
Sail
Rock is a large granite pinnacle which is situated mid
distance between the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Pha-ngan.
The pinnacle emerges 12m above the water surface and
goes down to around 28m in places. The main topographical
feature is 'The Chimney'; a spacious vertical swim-through
with entrances / exits at 6m, 12m and 18m. Often spotted
here are large schools of Barracuda, Mackerel, Big-eye
Trevally and Batfish. You can see as many Whale Sharks
here as at the Chumpon Pinnacle site.
One advantage Sail Rock has over Chumpon is the longer
dive times. From the shallows up to 10m, or even at
5m toward the end of the dive you will still see plenty
of marine life.
Ideal for levels of diving.
Chumpon
Pinnacles
When
first entering the water you are greeted with a school
of Bat Fish. The pinnacle starts at around 15m down
and reaches a depth beyond 30m. This is your best bet
to see larger marine life, especially Grey Reef sharks
and very large Potato Cod. Grouper and Bull sharks are
also sighted regularly here. Chumpon, along with Sail
Rock, is the most likely place to see a Whale Shark
during your stay. At your 5m surface interval you can
explore the pinnacle to see Clown Fish hiding in Anemones.
National
Marine Park
There
is an incredible variety of marine life within the beauty
of the surrounding landscape.
The National Marine Park is generally shallower than
the top dive sites off Koh Pha-ngan. Barracuda are often
seen here as are plenty of Angel fish and Butterfly
fish amongst the coral. Porcupine Puffer fish, Morays
and Blue Spotted Stingrays are regularly found among
the rocks and Banded Sea Snakes also make the dive sites
of the marine park their home. Ideal for levels of diving.
Koh
Ma / Mae Haad
These
dive sites are just down the road from The Dive Inn
shop in Chaloklum (Northern Koh Pha-ngan). A classic
beach dive ideal for all divers with an abundance of
sea life and coral.
This dive site is perfect for training at 6m with a
sandy bottom in one area. Being a shallow site you can
have a longer dive time looking at the marine life passing
you by! Great site for all divers.

Long-tail
trips
Get taken out by the local fishermen round the coastline
of Northern Koh Pha-ngan to explore new dive sites.
Great day out even for non-divers. Get in contact for
more information.

Scuba
diving : It's always something you wanted to
try. Your friends do it. You've seen it on TV. So
why not actually try it? In just one day you can
discover the wonders of the aquatic world. Swim
with sea turtles, make new friends and soak up the
sun. The Dive Inn PADI-certified staff will teach
you to dive in a fun, safe environment.
Your dive education doesn't stop with your first
certification however. You can improve your diving
skills by adding new certifications and specialities
to your log book. The Dive Inn offers all PADI courses
from beginner to instructor. Look left on the navigation
for a full list of courses. |
Discover
Scuba Diving
Course Overview
The
purpose of the Discover Scuba experience is to introduce
the non-diving public to diving in a safe, controlled,
enjoyable session and to dispel myths about diving.
Discover Scuba provides non-divers with an opportunity
to actually scuba dive in the safe confines of a swimming
pool. The experience presents diving in a pleasant and
exciting way. By instilling feelings of comfort and
safety, and a sense of belonging, Discover Scuba helps
overcome the common misconceptions held about scuba
diving.
Open Water Diver
Course Overview
The PADI Open water Diver course teaches you the basics
of Scuba Diving and upon certification enables you to
sample the delights of the underwater world in almost
any country in the world. The amount of time required
to complete the course is based on class size, student
aptitude, logistical considerations and student performance.
The course can be completed in 3 - 4 days.

Advance
Open Water
Course Overview
The
PADI Advanced Open water program provides the novice
diver with a structured, well-supervised means to gain
additional experience and improve your diving skills.
The PADI Advanced training is vital to the success of
any PADI Continuing Education Program. There are no
classroom sessions associated with the course and various
underwater tasks performed on the dives broaden your
awareness of the environment and your capabilities as
a diver.
This course gives you the taste of what more specialised
diving has to offer. Our 2 - 3 day course includes 5
adventure dives.
Emergency
First Responder
Course Overview
This
comprehensive program is composed of two core modules
that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses:
Emergency
First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response
- Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive
instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as optional
(yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
and Emergency Oxygen sections.
Also a great course for non-divers and only takes 1
day!
Rescue
Diver

Specialities
Course Overview
Try
a night dive course, DPV course or maybe learn to take
great pictures underwater with the photographic course.
These are just a few we offer to expand your mind and
diving abilities.
Assistant
Instructor
Course Overview
The
PADI Assistant Instructor course is the beginning of
the PADI Instructor training process. During the PADI
Assistant Instructor Course you will learn to apply
your diving skills and knowledge to learning to teach
the PADI System in the classroom and in confined water
with the PADI Discover SCUBA Program. All Assistant
Instructor Courses are conducted by PADI Course Directors
who are highly experienced instructor trainers and have
met strict educational proficiency requirements.
The
PADI Assistant Instructor Course stresses development.
As a result you can relax while learning, knowing that
mistakes are part of the learning process. Although
there are performance requirements for successfully
completing the course there are no time limitations,
so you may continue to progress under your Course Directors
guidance. The goal is to create a low-stress environment
in which you can learn to function as a PADI Assistant
Instructor. This makes the Assistant Instructor Course
a challenging yet enjoyable learning experience.
The PADI Assistant Course is also ideal preparation
for the PADI Instructor Development Course. On completion
of your course as an Assistant Instructor you will be
qualified to:
•
Present academic elaboration under Instructor supervision
• May teach Peak Performance Buoyancy Speciality under
Instructor supervision
• May conduct Discover SCUBA independently
• May teach and certify in non-diving specialities (e.g.
oxygen) and Medic First Aid following the appropriate
Speciality Instructor course
Instructor
Course Overview
The
PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the heart
of the PADI Instructor training process. During the
IDC you'll apply your diving skills and knowledge to
learning to teach the PADI System in the classroom,
confined water (pool) and open water. All IDC's are
conducted by PADI Course Directors, each a highly experienced
instructor trainer who has met strict educational proficiency
requirements.
The
PADI IDC stresses development. As a result you can relax
while learning, knowing that mistakes are part of the
process. Although there are performance requirements
for successfully completing the course there are no
time limitations, so you may continue to progress under
your Course Directors guidance. The goal is to create
a low-stress environment in which you can learn to function
as a PADI Instructor. This makes the IDC a challenging
yet enjoyable learning experience.
The
standard curriculum for the PADI IDC may be completed
in as little as seven days or over an extended period.
Each element of the course is supported by the Instructor
Candidate Workbook and other educational materials,
including the latest PADI videos. Topics include: teaching
the PADI Open-water course; continuing education courses;
Discover experiences; the Recreational Dive Planner,
lesson planning and presentation; conducting confined
and open water sessions; legal responsibility and risk
management; and marketing your PADI courses.
