Welcome to Simple Life Divers, Koh Tao, your number one choice for scuba diving on Koh Tao, one of the most picturesque islands in the Gulf of Thailand and home to beautiful coral reefs and diverse marine life. Simple Life Diving Resort offers courses for everyone from Beginners (Open Water or Discover Scuba) to Dive Professionals (Divemaster and Instructor). We also offer great package deals, discounted accommodation and fun dives and daily dive trips around Koh Tao on our custom-built brand new speedboat.

After diving our beachfront bar and restaurant is the perfect place to relax and watch the Koh Tao sunset while enjoying the unique atmosphere that you can find only at Simple Life. Our family owned and run accommodation ranges from Thai style bungalows through to larger concrete built villas all at discounted rates for divers. Our bungalows are situated right on Sai Ree beach, just a 1 minute walk from Sai Ree Village where you will find all amenities including many bars and restaurants, grocery store, internet cafe, bakery, travel agent, medical centre, shopping, bank and ATMs.

Diving

Koh Tao is one of the most idyllic scuba diving spots in the world. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced diver there will be a dive site to suit you. With warm water, excellent visibility and favourable conditions, diving on Koh Tao is an amazing experience for everyone.

As for marine life, Koh Tao has it all. Whale sharks are spotted here every year in season along with pilot and xxx whales, black tip and grey reef sharks, turtles, jenkins and blue-spotted sting rays, moray eels and banded sea snakes.

Koh Tao is home to a vast array of many species of colourful tropical fish and other animals. On most dives you will see angelfish, triggerfish, groupers, parrotfish, batfish, clownfish, wrasse, butterflyfish, nudibranchs, pufferfish and many more exotic and beautiful sea creatures.

equipped with double bed, own bathroom with WC, washbasin and shower.

Koh Tao

Koh Tao is situated off the East coast in the Gulf of Thailand.
It is 70 kilometres from the mainland and only a 1 and a half hour boat trip from Chumpon. Koh Tao is a small island of around 21 km 2 and has a population of 800.

Koh Tao was originally not inhabited and was only visited by passing fisherman. His Majesty the King Chulalongkorn (Rama V 1868-1910) visited Koh Tao on June 18, 1899 and left as evidence his monogram on a huge boulder at Jor Por Ror Bay next to Sairee Beach, just a short walk from Simplelife Divers

From 1933 to 1947 the Island was used as a political prison (Bavordet coup) because of it's far distance from the mainland.

Now Koh Tao is a lively island with everything available to travellers that you would want from a tropical island in Thailand, but without the commercialism and consumerism of Koh Samui.

Mae Haad is the small but bustling port where all visitors get their first glimpse of the island. Sairee Beach runs along the entire West side of Koh Tao and is a beautiful sweeping sandy bay with amazing views and calm clear waters.

At the North end of the island Mango Bay is a quiet and sheltered retreat with excellent snorkelling in aquamarine waters. At the South end, Chalok Baan Khao and Shark Bay have white sand beaches and excellent bars and restaurants.

Every type of cuisine from around the world is readily available, including Mexican, Italian, Spanish, Indian, Chinese, British, Finnish and of course excellent local Thai fare.
We also recommend a visit to The Brother Bar & Restaurant, (Sairee Village) just a short walk from Simple life.

As everywhere in Thailand, you can eat a great meal out for less than the price of a loaf of bread back home!

Activities
There are many other activities available on Koh Tao as well as scuba diving.
Snorkelling – Koh Tao’s wealth of marine wildlife make it an excellent snorkelling location.

You can snorkel on shallow dive sites or off the beach, you can spot hundreds of different types of fish and other sea creatures including turtles and reef sharks. Wakeboarding Paint Balling , Crazy Golf , Kayaking , Ten-pin bowling

About Us

Simple Life Villa was built on Sai Ree Beach in 1996 by Sett and Saan, two brothers from Koh Samui in Thailand. It soon became a Koh Tao institution due to its fantastic atmosphere, mouth-watering barbeques, friendly staff and comfortable affordable accommodation.

Now Simple Life attracts a great crowd from all over the world with many visitors returning year on year. Each Songkran (Thai New Year) Simple Life hosts the only party on Koh Tao worth talking about, and there are regular party nights with Snorkel Tests, Pool competitions, international and local DJs and more.

In January 2004 Simple Life Divers opened its doors and quickly became one of the most popular dive schools on the island. With an excellent safety record, large fully equipped dive boat and a brand new custom-built speedboat, our team of experienced PADI and SSI instructors offer a range of diving experiences from try-dives to Divemaster Trainee Programs.
