About
Scuba Diving in Koh Tao with Scubadiversion
Hi.
My name is Ray Bilcliff I am a photographer and retired
scuba instructor, after 40 of the best years a man can
have. I have had the pleasure of knowing Tim and Nat
of Scubadiversion for the last 8 of those years. I was
their dive boat captain and underwater photographer
in Grand Cayman for many years and my memories of scuba
diving and being with them are as precious as the oceans
pearls, it is an honor for me to have them as friends.
Read
on, as I tell you a little bit about who they are and
what they do....
Tim
and Nat are Mr. and Mrs. Hunt. Tim is Canadian and Nat
is Australian. They were married in Ontario, Canada.
I also had the honor of being the photographer at their
wedding. Tim is the worlds most natural scuba diver,
he must of been a fish in a former life, he has passed
through the scuba diving ranks from learning to dive
in Thailand, (Natalie was his instructor) to the very
top of the scuba diving professional ladder. Tim and
Natalie are both Course Directors, that is a teacher
who teaches teachers to teach. Tim and Nat can steer
you on to the road to a new life, they call it living
the dream." as a PADI Scuba Instructor.
Think
of how much money you spend on a scuba diving vacation,
cramming as many dives as the rules allow into one or
two weeks, well, relax a little, take the weight off,
and listen to what I am telling you....
How
would you like to travel the sunny pathways of the world,
go scuba diving in all of the worlds best places and
get paid to do it? I know, that's why we call it "Living
the Dream." I did it, they still do it, and so
can you.
What
can I say about Natalie, well... she is a darling. I
mean an absolute, adorable, darling and the most accomplished
and competent scuba diving instructor I have ever met,
do you know as of writing this, she has taught over
2500 students the art of breathing underwater. She is
that good at it.
Natalie
is the manager of Sunshine Divers on Koh Tao island
and she is also the most beautiful person I know. Let
Natalie and Tim show you how to change your life for
the better, put a permanent smile on your face, go to
work in t/shirt, shorts and flip flops.
It
is an honor in scuba diving circles to have Natalie
as your instructor. She just loves to be teaching people
just like you how to go scuba diving. Natalie has the
distinction of being an Aussie darling. I have never,
ever, in all of the years that I have known Natalie,
heard her say one negative thing about another person.
WOW! that is hard to do. Her happy outgoing and positive
personality is an inspiration to us all.
Scubadiversion!
So you ask... what is a Scubadiversion, good question.
Everybody should have one in their life, a Scubadiversion
that is, because it adds a new dimension to your very
existence, it opens up a whole new world, a watery blue
world that is just way beyond your imagination. Dive
in, the water is warm, the fish are waiting and the
time is right.

PADI
Open Water Diver Course online.
What
does it cover?
The
PADI Open Water Diver course is, by far, the world's
most popular scuba certification course. Millions of
people have started diving as certified PADI Open Water
Divers. Learning to scuba dive requires both knowledge
development (facts, principles, concepts) and motor
procedures (skills, techniques, methods). The PADI Open
Water Diver Course online provides the knowledge development
portion you need. You develop the remaining skills by
actually diving with a PADI Instructor at your local
PADI Dive Center or Resort.
How
does it work?
After
enrolling, PADI's eLearning system presents you with
interactive presentations that include videos, audio,
graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your
progress, and review and correct anything you might
happen to miss. This lets you move through the program
efficiently and at your own pace.
What
does it cost?
The
PADI Open Water Diver Course online is $120 (US) nonrefundable.
The fee covers your knowledge development training and
gives you unlimited access to an electronic version
of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual (course textbook).
Your PADI Dive Center or Resort will charge an additional
fee for the in water portion of your certification.
You will also need to purchase a mask, snorkel, pair
of fins, and other personal dive equipment. Your PADI
Dive Center or Resort will guide you through this process
and may suggest additional equipment along with the
required purchase of a Recreational Dive Planner (Table
or eRDP version) and a log book.
How
long do you have to complete the eLearning course?
The
eLearning course will be available for one year from
the time of course registration.

way I could answer the questions at my relaxed leisure.

saved at least a day of vacation by doing it ahead of
time. THANKS.

very excellent!! I would very strongly consider taking
more PADI online courses in the future. Very user friendly.
* This was a wonderful experience, I would definitely
recommend it to anyone looking to learn to scuba dive.
* Overall, the course is clear and concise and easy
to navigate and very, very informative ? thank you.

PADI
SCUBA DIVING COURSES IN KOH TAO, THAILAND
This
is the structure of the scuba diving courses in the
PADI diver program.
The
PADI program is all about diver safety. The educated
diver is a safe diver. You may as you continue your
diving get an interest in a specific area, like wrecks,
reef life, photography etc. you will find a specialty
to cover that area. The specialty courses are not designed
to make you an expert in that field, but to give you
a basic understanding of what it is all about, and how
to approach the subject in a safe and respectful manner.
The
parts of the course structure in RED are the professional
route for those wishing to make a career out of scuba
diving.
What
should be my goals?
Every
scuba diver needs to do the Rescue Course. WHY you ask?
simple. EXPERIENCE. Do you know as Instructors we watch
your every move when you are preparing your equipment
ready for a dive. It is shocking just how any divers!!!
do not know how to set up there scuba equipment. WHY?
you ask? simple. LACK OF EXPERIENCE. And they are now
an accident waiting to happen, but your instructor will
step in and put it right before it happens. BUT, your
instructor will not always be there for you.
SO.
as a Rescue Diver you will learn to recognize emergencies
before they happen and put them right. After all prevention
is the best cure. Be a leader. Do it right. Set an example
for others to follow.
All
scuba divers should seek further education, we have
said over and over, the educated diver is a safe diver.
If you intend to carry on scuba diving for fun time
at weekends and on vacations. Then your goal has to
be, Master Scuba Diver.

WHAT
IS "LIVING THE DREAM?"
AND
WHY DO WE CALL IT THAT? AND IS IT FOR ME? AND HOW
CAN I ACHEIVE IT? DO IT THE PADI WAY....LIVING THE
DREAM with Tim and Natalie Hunt by Ray Bilcliff
|
We
all dream of getting paid for doing something we enjoy,
getting paid to do something that we pay a lot of money
to do whilst we are on vacations. We like to dream of
tropical sun drenched beaches, palm trees and diving
in warm crystal clear waters. We sit at out desks or
where we work and dream of our next vacation in the
sun, scuba diving on a living coral reef. Well that
is a dream, right. It helps us get through the day,
like some kind of therapy and in most jobs today you
need some dreams. But, a dream is only a dream until
you take some action, then and only then, can the dream
can come true.
So
you ask, How can I turn the dream into a reality?
Well,
read on and I will tell you what you need to know.
What
you need more than anything else, is COMMITMENT and
the courage to follow your heart, and that is not easy
to do. There are millions of people who would like to
do it but they do not have the courage to make such
dramatic changes to their lives. They will never live
the dream. You will, because you have what it takes
to become a winner. You can do it the hard way one course
at a time whilst on vacation, step by step, course after
course, year after year. OR, you can contact us and
join our internship program that will take you all of
the way to PADI scuba instructor in the shortest possible
time whilst gaining the most experience.
SOME
OF US DO IT FOR A LIVING AND SO CAN YOU.
PADI

Dream" you want to do it right, it is after all
a life changing experience. So here is what you do.
Talk
to Tim and Natalie at the Ban's Scuba Diving College
in Koh Tao, Yep... a diving college right on the beach
of a tropical island, not like the college you remember,
huh. It didn't start out as a college though... it just
sort of swung that way due to the excellence of their
special way of teaching the PADI programs. They just
went on winning award after award. you want the best,
right. This is it, read on it gets better...

of Thailand dive center owners and managers attended
diving career programs at Ban's Diving. We are the only
dive center in this region to receive the award "Outstanding
Contribution to Instructor Development", which
PADI awarded to Ban's during the year 2000. Ban's has
also received awards for "Support to the PADI System"
during 2000-2002 and "Hallmark of Excellence"

award a resort can get from PADI for the outstanding
quality of it's teaching program. This award is not
given out lightly and only gets awarded to the very
best, this is what you want right.
Bans

A
career in diving can break you out of a nine-to-five
rut, or open the door to adventurous part-time or full-time
possibilities. Like many careers, PADI dive professionals
are envied for the lifestyles they lead. Divemaster's
schedule and plan dives on yachts, as do Instructors,
who also get to teach. Instructor Trainers travel to
the world's most exotic locations, while PADI employees
are the eyes and ears of the dive industry. What do
all these people share? They are all diverse individuals
who love their jobs. There are endless possibilities
and paths are available to take advantage of through
PADI, it only takes desire to make it happen. Why not
get paid for something that you love to do anyway?
As
a PADI Member, you are a part of the most successful
company in the industry. There are more than 4000 (and
growing) PADI Dive Centers and Resorts around the world,
and an overwhelming majority of dive operations are
PADI Members. At any given time, there are more positions
available for PADI leaders than there are dive professionals
to fill them. The bottom line is that whatever dive
career path you choose, your PADI credentials will get
you where you want to go, faster and easier.
So
if you still want to live the dream, it is all up to
you, follow your heart and go for it...
