For us fun is the programm, safety and service are the base of the Fun Factory diveshop. If you are looking for Nitrox or digital underwater imaging or you just like to be on our boat to snorkel.... we offer evereything you need for your holidays..... on the surface or under.
And you can choose the time for your dive: We are providing 2 trips per day, one departing in the morning the other one in the afternoon for normal diving or in the early evening for night diving. A seperate night dive is possible until 3 a.m..

On Phangan diving and snorkeling is possible the hole year around. Best chances to meet something realy big like a whaleshark is in October or March. The full collection of tropical reef-fish can be seen, studied or shot with a camera everyday 365 days a year.......... :-).

Diving in the Gulf of Thailand

Dive Sites

The Gulf of Thailand is full of incredible dive sites. We have dived there for more than 10 years now and since 2004 we are teaching there with the Fun Factory. Exammples of these beautyful underwater places are: Sail Rock, South West Pinnacle, Chumphon Pinnacle, Koh Phangan, Koh Yippon, Koh Wae and Koh Tao.

The first three are offshore dive sites. Rocks and formations that developed into reefs and attract massive schools and swarms with their cleaning stations.

The rest are island reefs just off the shore and can be even more beautyfull during night dives when lots of fish and rays seek shelter. Cuttlefish can also be seen at night.

However, these reefs are sometimes situated up to 200 Meters offshore and to protect the reef we bring you only by boat to your dive site.

The Whale Shark

One of the main reasons for divers to visit far away places are big fishes, like sharks, whale sharks or other wandering species.

One of these amazing big fish, the whale shark, you can discover here in the Gulf of Thailand with us.
The gentle giant is mostly seen in march-april and september-october but can turn up at any time of the year.

As participant in the International Whale Shark Project we were able to gather a massive archive about the giants, and we also teach the proper code of conduct to our divers and students so we all can see these beautyful creatures in the future again.

Directions from Bangkok:
Bus & Ferry : Various companys offer overnight bus rides plus ferry service towards Koh Phangan.
Plane : You can reach Koh Samui airport from various destinations. From there you can easily purchase ferry tickets to the neughboring island Koh Phangan.
