sites, Koh Tao must be one of the best locations

All recreational depths can be found along with
challenging wrecks and deep sites specialty diving
and technical deep diving.
Those
who know what to look for can find whale sharks,
grey reef sharks, black tips, white tips, pilot
whales, dolfins, big and small rays, barracuda,
tuna, trevalli, giant groupers, snapper, cray
fish, and an abundance of colourful tropical fish
and coral.
Chumpon
Pinacle

Koh
Tao's premier and most challenging dive site.
Four
massive rock pinnacles reaching the bottom at
40 metres and soaring up to 16 metres beneath
the surface. Chumpon Pinacle is completely surrounded
by deeper waters providing Koh Tao with a world-class
dive site.
Whale
sharks, frequent the site all year round along
with grey reef sharks, black tips, white tips,
giant groupers, black coral, anemone gardens,
vertically falling reefs and all kinds of pelagic.
Batfish are abundant here as are barracuda and
tuna.
Sail
Rock

Sail
Rock is a pinnacle shaped like an ice berg, offering
a steep wall dive all the way around dropping
to boulders stacked at 45 meters. The rugged rock
formations also create an awesome chimney swim
through from 18 meters to 6 meters vertically.
The chimney boasts loads of corals and anemones
throughout.
Sail
rock is overwhelmed with marine life including
whale sharks, black tips, white tips, giant groupers,
black coral, anemone gardens, vertically falling
reefs and all kinds of pelagic.
Shark
Island

Shark
island is very popular due to the diversity of
marine life as you circum-navigate the island
at different depths. At the deeper regions you
can find Leopard Sharks, Reef Sharks, Jenkins
Rays, Giant Morays and schools of big fish.
The
shallower coral gardens boast many marine colours
and abundant tropical fish life. Hawksbill Turtles
live in this area and are frequently seen eating
soft coral and swimming around.
South
West Pinnacle

Southwest
is a series of steep pinnacles rising from rock
and sand on the sea bed. Experienced divers can
work their way through the staggered pinnacles
from 30 meters on the bottom, finishing off with
a hanging safetly stop overlooking the entire
site.
Large
schools of fish frequent the site including, Leopard
Sharks, Blue Spotted rays, Pelagics and occasionally
whale sharks and grey reef sharks.
Green
Rock

Giant
tumbling boulders create this dive site from 28
meters to just below the surface. Green Rock is
a maze of swim-throughs, casms and caves filled
with marine life. At the deeper end of the site
giant trevalies, cobias, great barracudas, white-tip
reef sharks, and Jenkins whiptail rays patrol
the sea.
Bordering
the boulder are the Trigger Fish pits. Many Titan
and Yellow Margin triggers create craters as their
nesting grounds. Beware.
White
Rock

White
Rock offers a good depth for beginners and intermediate
divers with lots of marine life spread over a
very large site. Titan Trigger fish are notorious
for defending their nesting space when divers
pass too closely.
White
rock is a lovely site for night dives boasting
lots of evening actions with giant barracuda feeding
on fish that are stunned by your flash light.
Nang
Yuan Pinnacle

Nang
Yuan Pinnacle is situated just to the north of
Koh Nangyuan. There are some very beautiful arches
to swim through and a deep crack in its mid section,
that runs the entire way around. Giant Whiptail
rays, Giant Morays, reef sharks, many corals,
sponges pipefish can be found.
Neighbouring
the Pinnacle is Nangyuan Cave, a system that has
many light sources creating surreal effects as
you swim through. Many rays and moray eels can
be found inside.
Twins

Situated
on the western side of Koh Nang Yuan, Twins is
made from two large groups of rocks creating a
haven of marine life. Groupers, White Eyed Moray
Eels, Blue Spotted Rays, Hard Corals and Trigger
Fish are found st this site.
Mango
Bay

Mango
Bay is a secluded sandy bottomed bay surrounded
by coral reef, an ideal location for learning
how to dive, and a lovely relaxing fun dive for
any afternoon. Schools of squid and small hawksbill
turtles can be spotted here along with colourful
tropical fish, hard and soft coral.
Japanese
Gardens

Japanese
gardens is made up of hundreds of hard and soft
coral formations that create an image of oriental
gardens. Further there are small cave systems
that can be accessed by small groups of divers
for exciting swim-throughs. Trigger fish, box
fish, file fish and many other reef fish patrol
the Japanese gardens.
Hin
Wong Pinnacle

On
the east coast of Koh Tao and situated in a bay
of the same name, Hin Wong Pinnacle is a large
site descending as deep as 40 metres. The summit
is a tabletop rock formation within 10 metres
of the surface and supporting black coral, soft
coral and colourful sea fans.
You
should see Jenkins whiptail rays, porcupine pufferfish
and hawksbill turtles in the area. The boulder
coastline hosts an array of caverns shallow with
lightholes which are well worth looking in to
see what they hide.
Aow

With
crystal clear warm water and a smooth sandy bottom
Aow Leuk must be one of the best locations to
learn to dive in the world. Situated on the Southeast
of Koh Tao its depth ranges from ten to eighteen
metres. There are also rock formations, boulder
corals and other coral tors to stimulate interest.
Those
who know what to look for will see masked porcupine
fish and black-spotted puffers, Jenkins Whiptail
rays and blue spotted fan-tail rays but all will
see the many cowries, cushion stars and nudibranchs.
Green and hawksbill turtles are found.

Light
House Bay is just to the north of Koh Tao with
all the right depths for beginners and easy fun
dives. This site has loads of colourful marine
life.
