diving aimed at experienced or student divers,

Discover Scuba Diving
The
Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience
the thrill of diving under the supervision of
an Instructor with no previous diving experience.
During your adventure, you'll master some basic
concepts and scuba skills.
As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on
your way to an internationally recognised certification.
Skills learnt in the Discover Scuba Diving can
be credited to the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water
Diver certifications.
Requirements

- A completed and signed Discover Scuba/Discover
Scuba Diving statement.

Open Water Course
As
a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom
to dive with a buddy independent of a professional anywhere
in the world.
You will be able to participate in continuing education
courses such as Advanced Open Water Diver and exciting
specialty courses such as Wreck, Night and Photography
Diver.
Requirements
:
-
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit,
and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water
Diver certification.
- Minimum age: 10.
Tasks
:
Throughout
the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving,
including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this
rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development
sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake)
dives.
Advanced
Open Water
After
your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more
comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more
because you better understand the underwater environment
and the equipment you use.
Requirements:

Emergency First Response
Emergency
First Response gives you the tools you need to perform
CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver,
Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle
potentially life-threatening situations.
Requirements:

No dive certification required.
- No minimum age limit.
Tasks:
This
comprehensive program is composed of two core modules
that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses:
Emergency
First Response.

Primary Care and Emergency First Response
-
Secondary Care.
Together,
these courses proved extensive instruction in CPR and
First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency
Oxygen sections.
Rescue Diver
The Rescue Diver course will expand
your knowledge and experience beyond purely the recreational
level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and
consider the safety and well being of other divers.
Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable
way to build your confidence.
Requirements:

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying
certification from another organization).
- Minimum age: 15 years old.
- Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program
within the past 24 months.
Tasks:
Rescue
Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems
and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the
five open water sessions, you'll cover:

Self-rescue and diver stress
- Dive first aid
- Emergency management and equipment
- Swimming and non-swimming assists
- Panicked diver response
- Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures

Dive Master
Take the first step in your dive
career and become a Dive Master. Working closely with
an Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and
hone your skills as you become a dive professional.
Dive Master training develops your leadership abilities
by training you to supervise dive activities and assist
instructors with student divers.
Requirements:

Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
from another training organization.
- Rescue Diver certification or qualifying certification
from another training organization.
- Medical clearance signed by a physician.
- 20 logged dives.
- 18 years old.
Tasks:
-
Learn dive leadership through classroom and independent
study sessions.
- Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined
and open water.
- Training exercises to test organizational and problem
solving abilities.
- An internship or series of practical training exercises.
As
a Divemaster :
-
Work at dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts
and at exotic resort locations.
- Assist PADI Instructors with students.
- Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours.
- Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers.
- Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs.
- Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers.
- Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences.
- Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful

Assistant Instructor
The Assistant Instructor course
is the first portion of the PADI Instructor Development
Course (IDC). You'll not only gain additional experience
as a PADI Professional but you'll also start learning
the system of diver education.
Requirements:

Divemaster rating or qualifying certification from another
certification organisation.
- At least 18 years old.
- Have 60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation
dives.
Tasks:
-
Knowledge development through self-study, quizzes, lectures
and presentations.
- Confined water skill review and assessment, workshops
and presentations.
- Open water workshops, rescue assessment and candidate
presentations.
As
an Assistant Instructor:
-
Teach academic presentations under the indirect supervision
of a PADI Instructor.
- Evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under the
indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.
- Teach the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
course.
- Teach Project AWARE Specialty courses.
- Conduct PADI Discover Scuba experiences.
- Teach Emergency First Response after successful completion

Instructor Development Course
The Instructor Development Course
is your final step in the quest to become an Instructor.
During the IDC, you'll learn to use and adapt the PADI
System of diver education to individual student needs.
Comprehensive training, supported by a wide variety
of PADI educational materials, earns PADI Instructors
respect from both students and peers. PADI Open Water
Scuba Instructors may conduct a broad range of programs
from Discover Scuba to Divemaster.
Requirements:

PADI Assistant Instructor certification or be an instructor
in good standing with another training organization
for at least six months.
- Hold a dive certification for at least six months.
- Have 60 logged dives including night, deep and navigation
dives.
- Proof of CPR training within the last 24 months.
- Medical clearance signed by a physician.
Tasks:
-
Knowledge development through self-study, quizzes, lectures
and presentations.
- Confined water skill review and assessment, workshops
and presentations.
- Open water workshops, rescue assessment and candidate
presentations.
- Have at least 100 logged dives prior to entering a
PADI Instructor Exam.
DSAT Tec Deep Instructor
For those serious about becoming
a technical instructor and joining the ranks of DSAT
technical instructors, the Tec Deep Diver Instructor
course is an obvious choice. The DSAT Tec Deep Diver
Instructor course incorporates instructional philosophies
and course goals that directly address the demanding
and challenging nature of technical diving.
Qualification:

Conduct the Discover Tec experience
- Teach the DSAT Apprentice Tec Diver course
- Teach the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course
Requirements:

At least PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification
- PADI Enriched Air Diver certification or qualifying

- PADI Enriched Air Diver Instructor certification or
qualifying certification from another certification

- PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course Instructor certification

organization
- DSAT Tec Deep Diver certification or qualifying certification

enriched air nitrox dives, at least 25 dives deeper

The
DSAT Tec Deep Instructor course prepares candidates
to conduct the Tec Deep Diver course and addresses the
philosophy, organisation, practical considerations,
promotion and other aspects of teaching the Tec Deep
Diver course.
Master Scuba Diver Trainer
If you want to train your dive
students to the highest purely recreational dive level
in the PADI System of diver education, you'll want to
be a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. By attaining this
level, your dive students will know where to come when
they want to learn from an expert.

Requirements:

Hold five PADI Specialty Instructor certifications.
- Have at least 25 certifications.

Staff Instructor
PADI IDC Staff Instructors are
PADI Instructors moving towards instructor-level training
or teaching the Instructor Development Course (IDC).
IDC Staff Instructors can independently train and certify
PADI Assistant Instructors as well as help train PADI
Open Water Scuba Instructors.
Qualification:

Fun
Diving
Master
Divers specialise in creating a journey for all fun
divers providing them with a dedicated boat set to go
where the conditions are best. Fun Divers are accompanied
by Dive Masters in small groups or can lead themselves
if appropriate.
All
divers can explore the diverse underwater world. All
recreational depths can be found along with challenging
wrecks and deep sites for specialty diving and technical
deep diving.
Those
who know what to look for can find whale sharks, grey
reef sharks, black tips, white tips, pilot whales, dolfins,
big and small rays, barracuda, tuna, trevalli, giant
groupers, snapper, cray fish, and an abundance of colourful
tropical fish and coral.
DSAT
Tec Rec
DSAT TecRec courses provide the
techniques and procedures necessary for diving beyond
recreational dive limits. These are some of the most
intensive, yet exhilarating, courses you'll find.
Technical
diving isn't for everyone but if this type of diving
appeals to you and you're willing to accept the risks,
responsibilities and obligations, you'll find it one
of the most rewarding dive experiences you'll ever have.

program all the way to Tec Deep Instructor. The diving
