The
Bungalows in Koh Tao
Imagine
a small tropical island with incredible snorkelling
and scuba diving, a rich jungle in the centre and surrounded
by remarkably quiet, palm tree laced beaches. You're
imagining Koh Tao, a small island off the southern coast
of Thailand - not far from the better known (but more
crowded) Koh Samui.
Koh
Tao is one of the world's few remaining secluded
tropical islands which offer quality amenities but few
tourists. Most importantly, Koh Tao provides an unbeatable
diving experience which will delight the highly experienced
and excite the novice.
The
island, which is situated in the southern part of the
Gulf of Thailand, comprises a mere 21 square kilometres
of rain forest surrounded by palm tree-ringed beaches.
The rain forest is ideal for hiking, while the beach is
better suited for a lazy holiday… or your springboard
into mind-blowing scuba and snorkelling opportunities.
If you prefer to stay (essentially) above the water, swimming,
wind surfing and glass bottom boat tours are all readily
available.
Beach
Club is a small resort comprising a handful
of bungalows which sit directly on the beach. Just behind
the bungalows is lush rain forest. The result is everything
a tropical island should be: peaceful, beautiful and
a touch exotic.
Here
you can snorkel in the tropical coral garden, windsurf
to a nearby island, toss bread in the water and watch
hundreds of colourful fish come to eat it or simply
relax and admire the sun setting on the beach - a truly
magnificent sight.
Best
of all, in spite of the increasing number of travellers
who visit Koh Tao, the beaches remain remarkably quiet
- in part because visiting Koh Tao requires a little
more effort than do the world's more popular "tropical
paradises".
All
units include refrigerator and your choice of king size
or twin beds. Air-conditioned and fan cooled bungalows
are available.
