DIVE INDEEP is based in Koh Samui. We run daily trips to the dive sites of Koh Tao, and go to Sail Rock and Angthong National Marine Park several times per week. We are a PADI Gold Palm Resort Member (5 Star). Our PADI Courses start daily and we issue PADI Gold Cards to our students. In 1990 we opened as one of the first dive shops in the archipelago. There are many more shops today but we pride ourselves on our knowledge of the local marine environment and local diving lore and use it to our customer's advantage. Quality service and experience definitely means more fun. In order to ensure your safety and fun our instructor/guide to student/diver ratio is 1:5 or less. TRY DIVING!

If you would like to go scuba diving now's your chance. For first-time divers we offer a FREE INTRODUCTORY SCUBA EXPERIENCE. This experience allows you to try all the equipment and to find out what breathing underwater really feels like. After a brief explanation on the beach (in Chaweng) we take you into standing-depth water to see the fish and blow some bubbles. The whole experience takes 15-20 minutes and is a wonderful way to decide whether of not you'd like to continue diving.

DAY TOURS FOR INTRODUCTORY DIVERS:
This program is for first-time divers or divers without a diving certification who would like to go on a diving tour but do not want to or do not have time to join a Dive Course. These trips go by speedboat to Koh Tao and include 2 dives, lunch, transfers, equipment rental and full insurance. The schedule is approximately 08:00hrs. to 17:00hrs. daily.

Visibility averages 15-40m. Water temperatures range from 32 C Mar.-Oct. to 25 C Nov.-Feb. Conditions are generally very easy.

PLEASE NOTE: ALTHOUGH DIVING IS AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND, THE BEST DIVING SEASON FOR THIS AREA IS THE BEGINNING OF MARCH THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER (THIS IS THE OPPOSITE TO PHUKET'S SEASON).

The PADI Scuba Diver Course: The duration of this course is 2 days.

This course certifies the diver to dive on guided dives only to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft . This certification has just over half of the requirements of Open Water Diver: It requires Classroom/Theoretical Training Modules #1, #2 and #3, Confined/pool #1, #2 and #3 and Open Water Dives #1 and #2. It can be upgraded to PADI Open Water Diver if the student completes the remaining requirements within one year of certification or longer with some re-training.

Day 1 10am-5pm classroom and pool training in Koh Samui.

Day 2 10am-4pm 2 Open Water Training Dives off the beach in Koh Samui.

OPTION B:

Day 1 10am-4pm classroom and pool training in Koh Samui.

The PADI Open Water Diver Course: The course duration is 3-4 days.

This is the full, internationally recognized course certifying the diver to dive to a maximum recommended depth of 18m/60ft. It requires 5 Classroom/Theoretical Training Modules, 5 Confined or Pool Diving Modules and 4 Open Water Dives. The student has 3 options to choose from, depending on where he/she would like to complete the 4 required course dives on the final 2 days of the course (the local option is cheaper but the visibility out at Koh Tao is much better).

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course: The course duration is 2-3 days.

After a student completes the PADI Open Water Diver Course he/she will want to get more training and experience in various specialty areas of diving. This course certifies the diver to a depth of 30m/100ft. It requires 5 dives consisting of 1 Deep Dive, 1 Navigation Dive and 3 others of the student's choice (Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Photography, Multilevel and Computer , Search and Recovery, Boat, Fish ID, etc.)

Day 1 10am-5pm 3 Open Water Training Dives off the beach in Koh Samui

(Night Dive completed off the beach in Koh Samui 6pm-8pm )

Day 2 10am-4pm 2 Open Water Training Dives on 1-day boat trip to Koh Tao.

The PADI Rescue Diver Course: Course Duration Approx. 2 days .

An Advanced Open Water may join this course to learn self-rescue and accident prevention and management skills. The course includes classroom training and open water practice in 12 rescue scenarios. A pre-requisite is the Emergency Response Course or a CPR certification. This course does not include a boat trip.

Divemaster:

This is the first level of PADI Professional Membership. Pre-requisites are the diver must be at least 18 years old, be a PADI Rescue Diver or Equivalent and have at least 20 logged dives. The course is taught as an apprenticeship and can last form 2-6 weeks.

SNORKELING!

SNORKELING IS FUN FOR EVERYONE! Snorkel Chaweng Reef directly in front of our beach office. The water is shallow and warm. Mask, Fin and Snorkel are available for rent 10am-6pm daily.

SNORKEL TOUR TO KOH TAO:

This tour departs daily and includes equipment, transfers, lunch and insurance. We collect you at your hotel between 7:30 and 8am and drive to Big Buddha Beach. The boat ride to Koh Tao is approximately 1.5 hours. We have 2 hours at a snorkeling site in the morning, 1 hour for lunch in a restaurant and 2 hours at another beach in the afternoon. We return to Samui at approximately 4:30pm and then send you home to your hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: SNORKELING TOURS ARE AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND HOWEVER THE BEST SEASON FOR THIS AREA IS THE BEGINNING OF MARCH THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER (THIS IS OPPOSITE TO PHUKET'S SEASON). In the pool or in the sea. A first time introductory dive experience in the pool with a PADI Instructor. Includes an introduction to full dive equipment, simple instruction and a lot of fun playing underwater.

TRIPS
KOH TAO & CHUMPHORN PINNACLE

Tours to the dive sites of Koh Tao run daily 07:30 -17:00hrs by Speedboat

Suitable for Snorkelers, Certified Divers & Introductory Divers.

Koh Tao's many bays boast beautiful beaches framed by delicate shallow reefs and the clearest water in the Gulf of Thailand . These areas are perfect for snorkeling and for easy dives. "Pinnacles" (see Chumphorn Pinnacle below) are submerged rock formations rising from depths of 20m to 40m offering dramatic seascapes of schooling fish and opportunities to see whale sharks and other large marine life. Generally we will chose a pinnacle for our certified diver s' first dive and reef for our second dive. Dive sites are rotated daily for diver s participating over multiple days. Visibility averages 15-40m.

This dive site consists of a huge rock pinnacle to the North-West of Koh Tao. The top of the rock is 12 m and the base of it is 36+m. The entire rock is covered with encrusting corals and organisms and its top is crowned with anemones. It attracts Jacks, Batfish, Barracuda and Snappers, forming swirling, dense schools above. Giant groupers call the deeper areas home. This dive site is the most famous for attracting Whale Sharks. Black-tip reef sharks can be seen on almost every dive.

March-October there are rarely any currents and it is not necessary to go very deep, so less experienced diver s will enjoy this dive site as much as advanced divers.
