Diving Addicts is a small dive operator on the beautiful
island of Koh Samui, Thailand, that specializes in providing
Private Scuba Diving Lessons and daily dive tours that
are safe, fun, relaxed and deeply memorable. We are
serious about your experience with us and we go out
of our way to help make your time with us comfortable
and stress-free. We would like to see you again, year

Absolute
Diving Addicts, which officially began in 2005 is owned
and run by Patrick Carter & Zayne Baggott. We are
an environmentally conscious company and actively encourages
those who dive with us - as well as our local colleagues
- to protect and conserve our local waters as much as
possible. We want to share our 2nd home with you and
all future bubble makers.
Our
senior instructor, Carter, has over 6 years of local
diving experience and is ready to help you discover
the wonders of the ocean. "One thing everyone needs
to know," Carter says, "is that it's safer
to scuba dive than it is to walk along the street. Movies
like Jaws have created a worldwide fear of sharks, and
therefore scuba diving. The fact is, more people die
from falling coconuts than shark attacks each year.

Our
other Instructor and General Manager, Zayne, began diving
last year and has passed his PADI Instructor exams with
flying colours, the course he was on scored the highest
marks ever for an IDC. Having undertaken his courses
and fun diving on Koh Tao's dive sites he has a great
knowledge of the major dive sites including Chumporn
Pinnacle & the Gulfs most famous site Sailrock.

Scuba Diver Certification
A
two (2) day certified PADI course for basic scuba certification
allowing dives up to 12 meters/40 feet ONLY when accompanied
by a certified PADI Divemaster or Instructor. Upgrade
to Open Water Diver in only 2 more days on your next
holiday! Perfect for anyone on holiday who can't spend
4 days or more getting their Open Water license but
don't want to keep taking Introductory Dives. Cannot
rent equipment without instructor or divemaster present.

(4) day course that teaches you more of the basics of
scuba diving and diver safety than the Scuba Diver course.
When completed a certification card will be issued that
allows the diver to rent equipment and dive with a buddy,
WITHOUT instructor/divemaster supervision, to a maximum
depth of 18 meters/60 feet.

Advanced Open Water Diver Certification
Continue
your diving education to deeper depths with this two
(2) day course. Completion of this course gives divers
personal experience to depths beyond 18 meters/60 feet
to a maximum of 30 meters/100 feet. No Tests this time!!!
You will, however, have five short Knowledge Reviews
to fill out before diving (one for each dive). This
course will help further your understanding of Deep
Diving, Underwater Navigation and possibly; Night Diving,
Underwater Videography, Underwater Photography, Nitrox
(Enriched Air), Underwater Naturalist, Diver Propulsion
Vehicle (DPV), Search & Recovery and Peak Performance
Buoyancy - just to name a few of your choices. Perfect
for people who want to visit the worlds many sunken
shipwrecks or just expand on their diving skills!

Emergency
First Response (EFR) Program
A
full one (1) day “hands-on” course, in two parts, on
location at our local SSS Recompression Chamber, designed
to teach you the basics about first aid, single-person
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life
Support (BLS). This is not just a course for divers,
the information is something everyone should know no
matter what your job or hobby is.

Includes: Tour of the SSS Facilities, Necessary Equipment,
Student Participation Kit, Lunch, Transportation to
and from your Hotel/Guesthouse and Successful Completion
Card good for 2 years. This course is mandatory* to
complete the Rescue Diver course.

Rescue Diver Certification
A
three (3) day course to help build confidence and a
secure knowledge on how to help assist or control most
diving emergencies. A must for all serious divers. Your
confidence will increase dramatically. This course can
be physically demanding for some people, we recommend
swimming to get in shape if you are doubtful. Talk to

PADI
Divemaster Certification
An
intensive "hands on" immersion into the professional
side of scuba diving. Each candidate goes through our
comprehensive training and evaluation process and must
have a minimum of 20 logged dives to begin as well as
PADI Rescue Diver, E.F.R. (or equivalent), PADI Advanced
Open Water Diver and PADI Open Water or equivalent ratings
from known international agencies. A Divemaster is a
professional guide and an assistant to instructors.
To be eligible for a Divemaster license the diver must
have a minimum of 60 logged dives. After successful
completion diver must apply directly to PADI for certification
card and pay a professional enrollment fee to PADI.
This is the 1st professional level in the PADI system.

Welcome
to the warm, tropical waters of the Samui Archipelago,
in the Gulf of Thailand. Our average ocean-water temperature
year-round is 29 degrees Celsius (85 degrees Fahrenheit).
The visibility* can vary here with the average being
around 10+ meters (33+ feet) year-round. ADA offers
3mm 'shorty' wetsuits for your convenience/protection
but they are not required to wear. Absolute Diving Addicts
are here to help make your diving holiday safe and comfortable
